Garden tick 116 - Siskin (at last!)

By Jimminey, its taken some doing, countless red nut bags, but eventually a Siskin has landed in the garden! Garden tick no 116 was first seen on the bird table and then feeding with finches, sparrows and Reed Bunts on seed on the ground. Well, no red nut bags out at the minute, but some going up this afternoon. Who knows, it might have some chums to invite over.

Hi, just found your blog and very impressed with the photography and the number of garden ticks you have. I see the siskin in the photo, but I was more impressed with the bird beside it - isn't that a waxwing? We don't see many of them in Scotland.
