The male Sudan Golden Sparrow, first seen in the garden on 22 Aug, reappeared briefly on Monday and had so far evaded my camera. Today tho, the camera was set up at the upstairs window and SNAP! gotcha! What a star. My only previous encounter wit hthis species was in 1992 when I found one in The Gambia where it is a scarce visitor.
